Ashlyn Heller Class of 2013
I would like everyone to meet Ashlyn Heller - Kentlake class of 2013. Ashlyn is such a beautiful person inside and out. She will be graduating early in January and then the plan is to attend BYU in the fall (after working to get some extra cash). Good luck in your final year of high school Ashlyn. You are going to do great things!

Kyle Crooker
I was lucky enough to take some portraits of Kyle last year and I was excited to learn I that this year I was going to get another opportunity. In our first session, we concentrated on urban shots. This year, we went outside and focused on a more rural location. Returning clients are so rewarding, especially kids, because I love watching them grow and become young adults. I had a great time Kyle, and I am looking forward to next year's session!

Judd Seven weeks
In the days before Baby Judd was born I was looking for some cute new props for my infant sessions. I stumbled upon a really cute knit hat that was perfect! (Unfortunately, Judd arrived before the hat). Though I was disappointed, I knew that meant I was going to get another chance to photograph him. These pictures prove it was worth the wait. When I arrived for the shoot with my long-awaited knit cap, I discovered that Tatum had found the cutest golf outfit as well! A quick session became an opportunity to capture many moments - which is one of the things I love most about photography!

An Afternoon with the Rand Family
Thank you Desiree, Ken, Bailey, and Madison. I had a great time capturing some moments with your family. I met the family at Point Defiance Park, in the rose garden. It is so colorful this time of year with so many beautiful flowers. It was hard to pick just one spot. The afternoon started out a bit rough - Madison might have been a bit tired. But, after Madison warmed up, we got some great pictures. I sure enjoyed getting to meet this family.

Barbara and Charles Davis
Barbara and Charles are lucky. Not only did they find each other, but they were also able to find sun on their wedding day. They exchanged vows on June 29th, in the midst of the fifth wettest June on record in the Seattle area. Maybe it was an omen. Maybe it was luck. But on this day, the sun emerged and shined down on their intimate garden ceremony. After six years together, this lovely couple said their "I Do's" at Barbara's parent's house in Seattle. In a beautiful garden, the couple was surrounded by a small number of close friends and family for the ceremony. Barbara and Charles are passionate about good food and wine, so their celebration featured several different local wines discovered during their winery tastings together. The guests were also treated to some amazing food from the people at The Stumbling Goat. Highlights included an array of asian and seafood dishes, with cheesecake to top it all off. I am very grateful that I was able to share such a warm, sunny day with this truly wonderful couple. Congratulations Barbara and Charles!!!

Baby Judd Fettig
I was so excited to get to shoot Baby Fettig's first photos. I spent a couple of hours with Judd and he was a perfect model. (Ok maybe not perfect - he took issue with me interrupting his nap) Regardless, even a cranky newborn is cute! I did manage to coax a smile out of him, and he was cooperative with all the posing. I am truly looking forward to spending time with baby Judd as he get bigger and starts showing his personality.

Beautiful Mom to Be
It has been a great couple of weeks traveling down memory road. I have had the opportunity to catch up with, and photograph some past clients. Many of you will remember Tatum Fettig. I first took portraits of her before her big fitness competiton. She had been working out and following an amazingly strict diet to get into shape. Fast forward one year, and I had the pleasure to shoot another set of portraits of her preparing for a different kind of life changing event - motherhood. Tatum is a beautiful mom to be. She looks just radiant and taking pictures was a pure pleasure. We met at her house which had a nice yard, and visited a nearby park. The familiar settings made for a comfortable and laid back session. At one point, we even got the dogs involved! Congratulations Jeff and Tatum. You are going to be great parents to baby Judd!!

The McClure Family
Most people leave town on Memorial Day. I however, celebrated locally. As part of my "staycation," I had the pleasure of photographing the McClure family. I met the McClures at Pioneer Park in Puyallup. This is a special place for them. They have been going to the farmers market in Pioneer park for many years. Both Gavin and Jillian have their names engraved in bricks at the library nearby. I had a great time getting to know this nice family. Thanks again McClure Family!

Adler turns One
For those of you who have followed this blog are very familer with Adler Atkins. He has been a regular on the blog. In fact, he one one of the first clients featured here. I have had the privilege of photographing Adler since before he was born. To celebrate his turning one, we had ourselves a cake-smash session. It was so much fun to watch him try out his cake, and then to witness his delight at being able to dive in and, well, just make a mess. I want to thank his parents for trusting me to record his first year. It has been an honor and a blast!

Jennifer and Mike
February 19, 2012 was the day that Jennifer and Mike promised to support each other forever, and a nice day for a wedding! The clouds and rain stopped just in time. Their wedding was held at the Liberty Theater, a pretty cool venue. Jennifer and Mike actually met through an ad that Jennifer had placed on craigslist. They have supported each other though family deaths, job losses and major moves. Now they plan on facing all that live brings together as man and wife.
It was beautiful to share this special day with a couple so in love. From the tears Mike shed seeing Jennifer for the first time in her dress, to the emotional vows they wrote for each other, I feel very honored to have been chosen to capture all the smiles, tears (and dancing) that occurred.
Congratulations Jennifer and Mike I hope you have a great time in Cancun!!!
